How the site works

Everything the club does online, start to finish. If you get stuck on any of it, text one of the admins and they will sort you out.

1

Signing in, with no password

There is no password to remember. Go to lostmountainbassmasters.com and tap Member login.

Type the email address the club has for you and tap the button. We email you a link. Open the email, tap the link, and you are in.

The link works once and it stops working after 15 minutes, so ask for it when you are ready to use it. If you wait too long, just ask for another one.

Stay signed in on your phone and you will not have to do this often.

2

Your profile

Tap Profile at the top. This is your page: a photo, a nickname if you want one, your phone number, a short bit about you, and links to your Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.

The photo is the one that shows next to your name on the standings and the roster. You can move and zoom it before you save it.

Your phone number is only ever shown to signed-in club members. It never appears on the public side of the site.

Add your number. It is what the club uses for pairings and ride shares.

3

Voting on the date and the lake

When a vote goes up you get an email. Open it and tap the link, or sign in and go to Polls.

On a date vote, tick EVERY Saturday you can make, not just the one you like best. The date that suits the most people is the one we fish.

On a lake vote you pick one lake.

You can see who voted for what, and you can change your vote any time until it closes. When it closes everybody gets an email with the result.

Missed the vote? You are still asked. Everyone on this season’s roster gets the "are you fishing?" email as soon as the vote closes, whether they voted or not.

Ticking several dates is not indecision, it is the whole point. It is how we find the weekend that leaves the fewest people out.

4

Finding out who you are fishing with

Before a tournament the director checks off who is coming and draws the boats. When that is done you get an email that says which boat you are in and who you are riding with, and it includes their phone number.

You can see the same thing any time: Profile, then "Who I am fishing with". Your own boat is marked, and there is a Call and a Text button next to everybody.

If you need to swap or you cannot make it, text the tournament director. The email does not take replies.

Nobody else has to look anything up for you. Their number is right there.

5

The club directory

Profile, then Club directory. Everyone on this season’s roster, with a number you can tap to call or text and an email you can tap.

It works the same on an iPhone and on an Android. Tapping the number opens your phone, tapping the message icon opens a text.

6

Conditions: past weather and water

Tap Menu, then Conditions. It only shows once you are signed in. Every tournament the club has on record is in there, back to the oldest results the club has.

For each one you get the temperature at launch and at weigh-in, the wind, the sky, the barometric pressure and which way it was moving, rain, sunrise and sunset, and the moon. The club adds water clarity and water temperature.

On the Corps of Engineers lakes, Lanier, Allatoona, West Point, Carters and Clarks Hill, you also get how much water the dam was actually moving that day, hour by hour, in a chart: whether they were pulling and when. That comes straight off the Corps gauge.

You can flip between every trip the club has made to one lake, so you can see how Wedowee fishes in a cold front against a warm one.

The weather is pulled in automatically. Nobody types it.

7

If you finish in the top three

The club keeps a record of what actually worked. If you finish first, second or third you get an email with a link to a short form: what you were throwing, what you were targeting, depth, timing, and roughly where.

It takes two minutes and only club members can read it. You do not need to sign in, and you can go back and change your answers.

One more thing

Standings are public, the rest is not

Anybody can see the standings, tournament results and the roster. Phone numbers, the conditions log and who is fishing with who are only ever visible to signed-in members.
